Dr. McCaffrey is a dedicated and passionate dentist who truly cares about providing his patients with the highest quality care possible. His commitment to excellence is evident in his consistent pursuit of continuing education, as he believes that staying informed on the latest advancements in dentistry is crucial for delivering top-notch service. Dr. McCaffrey firmly believes in employing minimally invasive techniques to promote oral health, as he values a conservative approach that prioritizes the well-being of his patients above all else.

As a member of prestigious dental organizations such as the Academy of Supra-gingival Healthy Dentistry, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American Dental Association, the Nevada Dental Association, and the Southern Nevada Dental Society, Dr. McCaffrey is constantly expanding his knowledge base and honing his skills alongside some of the most respected clinicians in the field. With over 100 hours devoted to attending workshops each year, Dr. McCaffrey's dedication to professional development sets him apart as a true leader in the world of dentistry.

Dr. McCaffrey was raised in Las Vegas and graduated from Bonanza High School. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Nevada, Reno, and received his Bachelor of Science degree in biochemistry. During that time, Dr. McCaffrey met his wife, Civia, and they married in the summer of 2002. He went on to complete his dental training at the Temple University School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. McCaffrey enjoys spending most of his free time with his wife and three children, loves outdoor activities such as skiing and snowboarding, and is an avid sports fan.

Dr. Civia McCaffrey, our dedicated optometrist, was born in Fresno, CA, but grew up mainly in Las Vegas, NV. She pursued her passion for biology at the University of Nevada, Reno, where she earned her bachelor’s degree before marrying her husband, Alan, and relocating to Jenkintown, PA, to attend the Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University.

In 2006, after completing her studies and training, Dr. McCaffrey returned to Las Vegas with her husband to kickstart their professional journey. For over a decade, she honed her skills at The Eyecare Center before taking the bold step of opening her own practice in 2019. At Summerlin Vision, Dr. McCaffrey has realized her dream of providing top-notch optometric care that is both compassionate and comprehensive while pushing the boundaries of traditional practice methods.

In her free time, Dr. McCaffrey enjoys long workouts, tennis, traveling, and spending time with her husband, Alan, and their three children.
